「愛知県陶磁美術館・陶芸館」内覧会記録❷ リニューアルOPEN 第一弾〜となりの瀬戸市【Nagakute Times】
2025年４月１日にリニューアルOPENする「愛知県陶磁美術館」（1978年開館）ですが、「本館」に先立ち、いち早く「陶芸館」（Ceramic Craft Studio)が11月１日に先行オープン。10月24日メディアに向けリニューアルされた「陶芸館」の内覧会が催されました。
「陶芸館」とは、どんな役割の場所で何ができ何を見、知ることができるのか。第２弾のレポートです。
2025年４月１日にリニューアルオープンする本館から、「陶芸館」「窯焚き広場」へ向かうブリッジ
「釜焚き広場」の手前を少し右方に行ったところにある「市道１号窯跡」。
この窯跡（豊橋市で発掘された）は、空海や最澄が唐から帰国して活躍し出した平安時代の９世紀の瓦専用の窯。見学できる県内唯一の窯跡とのこと。
当時、東海地区で大流行したという窯の様式。平安時代、各所で建築されだした多くの寺の瓦が焼かれたといいます。
愛知県でもここだけしか見れない窯とのこと。陶磁美術館の隠れた名スポットとしてぜひ足を伸ばしてみてください。
平安時代の「窯跡」や次の「窯焚き広場」は、上のマップの「作る」のところです。
1981年から現在に至るまでWorkshopやイベントなどで用いられてきた登り窯です。
江戸時代の窯の中の状況など様々な実験データがとられ、若い作家の方たちの新たな取り組みに活かされています。
