「真の天下分け目の戦い」の合戦場を巡る回遊ルート誕生へ／長久手古戦場公園リニューアル工事❷【Nagakute Times】
現在、長久手古戦場公園の整備が着々と進められています。ガイダンス施設の建築は先週から屋根が取り付けられるまでになっています
前回の「庄九郎塚」に至る小径の整備を取り上げましたが、今回はそこから尾根づたいに池田勝入塚へと至る周遊道の整備の状況をレポート致します
長久手古戦場公園の一つの見所は、当時の地形をなるべく残してある荒々しい雑木林の当時の地形が全身で感じ取れることだろう。これまでは雑木林を抜ける小径はあったもののそこを通る人は稀だったた。そこで公園の西ゾーンと東ゾーンを動線を張って巡ってもらおうというわけだ。
今回の大規模整備で、国指定史跡でもある「庄九郎塚」に回遊しやすくなり、26歳で命を落とした池田庄九郎という武将を知ることによって長久手合戦の激戦がさらに感じ取れるようになるのではと思います
現在、整備中の「庄九郎塚」から尾根づたいに「池田勝入塚」方面に向かう回遊路
一歩一歩歩くと、当時の荒々しい戦場が目の前にまるでパノラミックに出現してくる感覚に襲われます
2027年春、新たにできるガイダンス施設を訪れて後、この回遊ルートは、「合戦場ルート」の一つとしてきっと着目されるでしょう
公園内を南北に走る尾根状の丘陵は、コナラ、アベマキ、クロガネモチなどが生い茂る雑木林になっています
合戦場は比較的平地だった関ヶ原の合戦と異なり、長久手合戦の主戦場はあちこちに高低差のある地形のなかで戦われましたた。
激しい戦闘は古戦場公園北側に連なる「仏が根」や「血の池公園」近くでも繰り広げられました
古戦場公園の地形は、周りの民家より3〜5m程高くなっています
古戦場公園の南西側から見上げると樹木がのたうち回るような光景に出会うことができます
古戦場公園の再整備完了以降、資料館や塚だけでなく「古戦場」全体の空気を肌感覚で感じられる古戦場公園になるのではと期待されます

この地図の一帯が長久手合戦の主戦場である
上図の方角：上が西、手前が東。中央から少し左下に「池田勝九郎」の名前が見える。地理的にその辺りで合戦時に討死した。右下に「池田勝入本陣」。その上方に「家康公御本陣」（現在の御旗山）
そこから左方に現在「血の池公園」となった池が描かれている。中央にもう一つ大きな池である「仏ガ根」の池も描かれている。「血の池」と同じくこの池も昭和時代まで存続
新たな資料の発見や専門家の考察、知見から日本の歴史がさまざまな局面、ポイントでヴァージョンアップされようとしています
「小牧・長久手の戦い」もまたそうした歴史の一大局面でした
古戦場公園内の雑木林が映える尾根を辿って庄九郎塚へと至る小径（今後この小径も整備）
古戦場公園はなるべく当時の地形を活かしているとのこと。長久手合戦の激戦場がいかに起伏にとんだ地形だったかも肌感覚で伝わってきます
