『昨年10月には、環境省から「重要」のお墨付きを得た湿地入り口に案内板も設置され、絶滅の恐れがある美しい生物がお披露目されたが、それまでは盗掘や外来魚放流などに対する心理戦から、ピーアールは控え目に行われていた。これからは市民による保護・監視が強く求められることになる。開園から90年もの間、五色園はさまざまな顔を持ち、訪問者に十人十色の楽しみ方を用意している。
