半年も真っ赤な溝ノ杁池。淡水赤潮の発生！【長久手タイムズ】
長久手東部のバス通りに真っ赤に染まった池がある。岩作や「ござらっせ温泉」方面から瀬戸に向かう県道の道なか（地図では北浦地区・溝ノ杁）なのだが、これだけ長い期間池が赤い状態になっているのは初めてではないだろうか。冬を迎えても春を迎えようとしてもほとんど変化がない。今のところ生ぐさ臭はほとんど感じないけれどより赤みを増しているかもしれない。
溝の杁池を直接見た中京大学の教授によると「淡水赤潮」の可能性が高いですね、という応えが返ってきた。

池に通じる水路がある。近くでは新鮮な地下水も湧いている。
常に新鮮な水が池に流れ込んでいるようだ。
問題は池の出口、排水口が機能してないのでは。
あまりこの状態が続くと、西の杁ヶ池公園でも生じたようにヘドロが池底に溜まり、腐臭も放ちだし、どこかで対策や解決策を投じて行く必要があると思われます。
これだけ見事に赤い池になると気持ち悪いを通り越して巨大なアート作品にすら見えてしまう。
赤潮は海や湖（かつての琵琶湖など）だけかと思ったら陸地の「淡水」にも生じる現象である。「淡水赤潮」とは、浮遊性の単細胞生物・「植物性プランクトン（藍藻類）が繁殖し水面に密集することで、水面を変色させる現象」ことで、栄養状態が良い池であれば植物性プランクトンは発生しても密集しないという。定義上は、渦鞭毛藻類などによる水の赤褐色現象とのこと。
天気によっては淡水赤潮特有の生臭さが発生するかも。長久手市には歴史的に貯水池や溜池も多く、環境・状況次第では今後他の池でも発生しかねない。ちなみに西日本地域は、世界でも最も淡水赤潮現象が発生するエリアになっているようです。
周囲は柵が巡らしてあるだけで、いたってふつうの環境に思える。

異常増殖現象はそれぞれの環境や原因があるようで説明し難いものも多いそうだ。溝ノ杁池の場合はどうだろう。
昭和40年代はここで釣りを楽しんだり、冬は水面が十分に凍った日には皆でスケートをして遊んだりしたものである。
池の奥側の小高い場所の頂きには、「愛知の山城ベスト50」にも選ばれている「尾張大草城」（戦国時代）があった。こんもりした林の中に熊野神社がありその西側に城碑がある。丘陵に上がると里山方面が見渡せ、土塁や堀が相当広い範囲に渡って築かれていることがわかる。
溝ノ杁池から「大草城跡」地までは目と鼻の先。江戸時代は、県道のバス通りはまだなく上の写真の真ん中の道路を人が往来した。
戦国時代、小牧長久手の戦いが始まる４、５年前に森長可が改築・整備した「大草城趾」。瀬戸山口側から進軍してきて家康軍は、大草城迂回し、北浦〜立花方面へ辿って色金山に向かい、陣取った。
季節・天候、増殖の悪化によって淡水赤潮特有の生臭さが発生するのではといわれる。今年の夏はまた猛暑になりそうなので危惧されるところ。
