Place N. of 長久手 -「時間旅行」❷ 〜上郷にあった「権道寺」【長久手タイムズ】
「地名」には、その土地の歴史と証が刻み込まれています。長久手には、長久手合戦があった戦国時代の世からさらに遡ることができる地名も多くあります。江戸時代の岩作村の前は「石作村」で、「石作」の名は現在まで鎮座する「石作神社」にしっかり残っています。
今回は、上郷の今なきお寺「権道寺」の名が付けられた地名です。鎌倉時代の13世紀に「承久の乱」の頃に消失した「権道寺」から近隣諸寺に仏像が移された言い伝えもあります。
長久手市内はサイクリングや散策にもうってつけのエリアがあちこちにあります。初夏の好天気の際には、ぜひ東部上郷エリアに「時間旅行」してみてはいかがでしょう。

同時にPLACE NAGAKUTE =長久手の場のことでもある。
このコーナーでは、主に戦国時代から江戸時代にかけて存在し記された長久手の地名とその由来を
紹介いたします。地名は時間を超えその土地の証と歴史を今日の私たちに運んでくれる貴重な情報でもあります。
長久手町発行（平成元年）の『長久手の地名 1』（小林元 著）などを参照しつつ、
新たな情報や取材画像とともにご案内致します。
現在はもちろん家康と秀吉の長久手合戦の時ですら、この「権道寺」という地名の場所に、「権道寺」というお寺は存在しない。けれども大草から瀬戸方面に向かった溝ノ杁池がある一帯（かなり広域）を昔からなぜか「権道寺」といい習わしてきた。
瀬戸の山口方面から矢田川を渡って色金山に軍を進めたのは、かの徳川家康である。その家康がこの「権道寺」の路を辿ったと伝わっている。「権大納言家康」が歩を進めたことから「権」道「路」なのではという説もあるが、それならば「権」の次に「道」「路」と繰り返さないだろう。
「権道寺」がかつて中世の時代に消失し（1221年の「承久の乱」の頃 鎌倉時代 : 朝廷と武家政権の初の武力衝突）、寺院にあったと伝わる幾つもの寺仏が移されて近隣諸寺に安置されたという伝わっており、やはりこの地に「権道寺」はあった可能性は高いと思われています。

池の左右と下方の大草方面に田畑が広がり、集落は下の寺院（現在の永見寺）がある大草側にだけみえる。

地元民に人気の名店「海鮮 なかの」はここにある。

溝ノ杁池の赤潮は不思議なことに春の訪れとともに池の色は真っ赤から緑色に変化して行った。

溝ノ杁池の県道を挟んだ西側一帯は、少し深い雑木林、竹林が続く。いつの時代かはまったく不明だが人工的に造られた段差のある田畑ある。
地元の郷土史研究家の推論では、かつての「権道寺」があった場所は、この丘陵の向こう側、県道57号線と大草丘陵の間の平地だったのではとも。
立花古道＝権道寺街道 権道寺山の呼称がある小高い丘陵も
N-バスの「北浦」停留所を少し西に行った所。ここから約１km先に家康が陣を張った色金山がある。昭和時代にはこの舗装された裏道はまだなく、土と砂利のリヤカーが通れるくらいので道だった。
この道を奥まで進むと「長久手スポーツの杜」と色金山の北側に出る。N-バスの「立花」停留所はさらにその先、石作神社の裏手にある。「道」もまた「地名」と同じく「時間旅行」に必要な神器と言える。
色金山までつながるこの道（途中からかも知れないが）をかつて瀬戸の本地から進軍した家康公が通った可能性も高く、古に想いを馳せてみるのもいいかもしれない。
どちらかは特定できないがこの周囲に古から「権道寺山」の名称がある小さな山もあるという。
