「二本松塚」- 長久手合戦の鎮魂の松。現在は桜とムクノキに【長久手タイムズ】
リニモの「古戦場公園駅」を降りてすぐ、古戦場公園に向かう手前に「二本松塚」（国指定史跡）があります。場所はグリーンロードと古戦場公園に通じる市道が交差する大きな交差点脇。「二本松塚」は、長久手合戦の戦死者を鎮魂するためのものでしたが、現在は伐られた老松の代わりに大きな「ソメイヨシノ」と「ムクノキ」が屹立しています。
長久手合戦があったのは４月９日。戦国時代には桜の木はありませんでしたが、戦後の春には「ソメイヨシノ」が見事な花を咲かせています。
グリーンロードと古戦場公園に通じる市道の交差点にある長久手古戦場のモニュメント。このちょうど奥側に「二本松塚」はある。
古戦場のモニュメントと「二本松塚」の距離がよく分かると思います。すぐ真後ろとも言える距離です。
「二本松代石」と刻まれた石碑。代石とは、二本の大きな老松の代わりの石という意味。戦後すぐに燃料不足から老松を切り倒したと伝わっています。その時の松の直径は140cmもあった巨大な松だったといいます。
現在、石碑の左隣に立っているのは「ムクノキ」。かなり大木になっています。
ソメイヨシノもムクノキも樹形がすごいことになっています。
石碑の左右には、ムクノキ以外、「ソメイヨシノ」の桜の木が３本あり、こちらも大木になっています。右奥に見えるののがAEON長久手店。
石碑の裏側と伐られた松（おそらく）も根元。
石碑の後ろ側から。左にソメイヨシノ、右にムクノキが大きな枝を東方に向けて伸ばしています。奥にリニモの「古戦場公園駅」が見えます。
天正12年（1584）４月９日が長久手の戦いがあった日。毎年春に催される「古戦場まつり」の幟が掲げられています。今年は4月７日の日曜日に「古戦場まつり」がとりおこなわれます。
奥に見える高架はリニモの線路。
すぐ近くにある国史跡「庄九郎塚」。庄九郎（池田元助）は池田勝入の長男で当時は岐阜城城主。父・池田勝入に従って参戦したが、父の義兄の森長可と共に家康本陣の岡崎奇襲を企てたが失敗。その後、長久手での決戦でこの地で命を落としました。まだ20歳でした。
