長久手市内の「交通事故」「人身事故」は増加？ 減少？【長久手タイムズ】
今日も救急車やパトカーのサイレンの音を数回は聞いただろうか。コロナが一旦終結して以降なのか、ジブリパークのオープンでとくに週末の交通量が増えたことも重なって、このところ交通事故が多くなったのではという日常的感覚がつきまとっていた。
そんな中、偶然に砂子交差点での交通事故の現場に遭遇（７月16日）。被害者の姿も見当たらずどうも単独事故のようであったが。その事故の模様を少し写真に収めた。
やはり事故は増えているのか、実際のところどうなのか取れるデータで確認してみた。結果は予期しないものだった。

「Stop」「Slow」「Smart」の交通安全スリーS運動を、市内で実施中！
現場は、向こう側に向かってリニモの「古戦場公園駅」方面に緩い坂でカーブしている場所。この交差点はかねてから事故も多く地元のドライバーも慎重になる。
今回の事故の詳細はこの時点ではわかりません。中央分離帯のリニモの列柱に一台だけ正面から乗り上げるようにぶつかっています。歩行者、自転車、あるいは他の車が巻き込まれている様子はありませんでした。歩行者か他の車をよけるためにハンドルを急にきった可能性があるかもしれません。
長久手市内の人身事故件数は、2010年代前半よりほぼ半減していた
（一日平均 0.5件程）
市内の交通事故件数は、ここ10数年、年間2,000件代であまり変わらず
（一日平均７件程）
2010年代より2020年代初期にかけ長くて市内の交通事故件数は2,000件代をあまり変わらずで推移しています。コロナ禍前の2018~2019が3,000件近い件数でした。10年単位で見ると、人身事故件数は10年程前の半減近くになっているものの死亡事故は若干増えているのが統計から見えてきます
長久手市内の１年ごとの人身事故と交通事故発生件数
令和５年（2023年）は、人身事故件数192件（死亡事故２件）
令和４年（2022年）は、人身事故件数176件（死亡事故１件）／交通事故件数2,568件 子供と若者で増加傾向
令和３年（2021年）は、人身事故件数192件（死亡事故４件）／交通事故件数2,416件 子供の事故が減少傾向
令和２年（2020年）は、人身事故件数201件（死亡事故１件）／交通事故件数2,109件
令和元年（2019年）は、人身事故件数211件（死亡事故３件）／交通事故件数2,508件 子供で増加傾向
平成30年（2018年）は、人身事故件数296件（死亡事故１件）／交通事故件数2,729件 高齢者で増加傾向
平成29年（2017年）は、人身事故件数344件（死亡事故１件）／交通事故件数2,944件 高齢者以外で増加l傾向
平成28年（2016年）は、人身事故件数306件（死亡事故０件）／交通事故件数2,613件 高齢者で増加傾向
平成27年（2015年）は、人身事故件数345件（死亡事故０件）／交通事故件数2,305件
平成26年（2014年）は、人身事故件数362件（死亡事故３件）／交通事故件数2,215件 子供で増加傾向
平成25年（2013年）は、人身事故件数414件（死亡事故１件）／交通事故件数2,358件 子供の事故は減少
平成24年（2012年）は、人身事故件数404件（死亡事故１件）／交通事故件数2,398件 若者の事故が多い傾向

今年６月末の、長久手市内の人身事故件数は73件。昨年同時期より29件減少！
「愛知警察署」管内の東郷、豊明、日進は、東郷がマイナス５件で、あとはプラス１件。なんと長久手市内の人身事故件数だけが、「愛知警察署」管内では大幅に激減していた。

今年上半期、愛知県すべてで人身事故が最も減少しているのがなんと「東尾張」エリア！
「東尾張」エリアは、春日井、尾張旭、瀬戸から長久手、日進をへて、半田、東海市、知多市、常滑までのエリア
今回の事故車は尾張小牧ナンバーだったが、とくに名古屋や豊田方面へつながるグリーンロードでの事故は、長久手のナンバープレート管轄区域の「名古屋」ではないケースもかなり多いようだ。
とくにグリーンロードは４車線で追い越し車線をスピードを出して走るクルマも多い。使い慣れていても右折・左折にかなり気を配る大きな交差点がほとんど。どんなドライバーにとっても危険度が高い交差点である。
砂子交差点。名古屋方面を見る。直線になるとそこそこ速度を上げてしまうクルマも多い。
今年春先まで左手の角にマクドナルド長久手店（砂子）があった。テイクアウト待ちのクルマが交差点近くまで停車することもあり誰の目にも危険であった。そのマクドナルド長久手店は、現在、同じグリーンロード沿いにマクドナルド打越店となって移転している。
それでもこの交差点は、少しの油断も許されない場所の一つである。
