火縄銃の音が市内に轟く伝統の警固祭り【長久手タイムズ】（記録）
長久手は火縄銃の所有数日本一。そして毎年10月の「警固祭り」の朝は長久手市民にとっては特別の朝になる。新住民にとっては驚きの朝になるだろう。早朝８時に火縄銃の発砲音が市内に轟くのだ。その音に誘われるように向かうと背に標具（ダシ）を乗せた馬と法被を着た馬方たちの姿が見えた。
「警固祭り」の「警固」とは、神の使いの神馬を鉄砲隊と棒隊が警固するという意味。尾張と西三河に戦国時代から伝わるという豊年感謝の祭りである。現在まで継承されているのは長久手や瀬戸他、かなり少なくなっている。
馬は神様の使いとして「神馬（しんめ）」と呼ばれます。
長久手西小学校の校庭で早朝７時頃より火縄銃と棒の手の本番前の準備が入念におこなわれた。以前は、朝は最っと早く、６時かさらに以前の時間に、鉄砲隊の発砲が行われていたとのこと。早朝には、清めの儀式である垢離（こり）取りが行われている。
長久手には３地区の警固祭りがあり、その３つが毎年持ち回りで催される。今年は愛知県の無形民俗文化財に指定されている長湫（ながくて）地区が担った。来年は里山エリアの上郷地区である。
祭りは景行天皇社と富士社へ奉納されるまで、長湫地区の市内を各所練り歩きながら（実際には走っている、法被を着て火縄銃を担いでいるので体力・気力が準備されないと相当しんどいと聞く）各所で火縄銃が勇壮に発砲される。
馬具の標具（だし）の飾りつけは地域によって異なります。長湫は大きな団扇がシンボル。両翼に「天下泰平国土安穏」の2本の幟が立ちます。馬は人でも驚くほどの火縄銃の連続爆音をかなり間近で聞くことになります。
祭礼用に特別に訓練された馬でないとこの役割はまず務められないと言います。それでもあまりの爆音に驚き逃げ出す馬もいたと聞きます。
実践さながらの鉄砲隊の火縄銃の発砲がおこなわれます。近所の住民200人程が周囲で見守ります。
早朝の棒の手の準備。長湫地区には４つの流派がありそれぞれに武器やスタイルが異なるとのこと。最近は女の子の参加もある。
さあ、いざ出陣。
リアルに住宅前の裏道で火縄銃が発砲される。時間は日曜の早朝、朝８時半頃。

東切と西切の２つの地区の隊列が長湫地区を練り歩いた後に景行天皇社の神社前で合流。祭りはこの景行天皇社と、近くにある徳川家康が頂きに陣取った富士社へ奉納されます。境内へ登利、馬とともに境内を周り勇ましく疾走します。そして棒の手が奉納されます。

景行天皇社にて巫女神楽がとりおこなわれます。長い間継承されてきた里神楽です。
警固祭りの景行天皇社にての巫女神楽はほとんど告知されていない様なので見物の人数は少なかったのですが、神々しく清々しい空気と舞いに触れ、警固祭りの歴史の奥行きが感じられます。
