長久手には、かつて「旅館」があった！ 旧道、岩作商店街を巡る❷ 【長久手タイムズ】
現在、長久手で大いに発展をとげ商業地になっているのは、西部と南部エリアですが、かつて大正〜昭和時代は長久手の中央に位置する「岩作」が長久手きっての商業地でした。今日では、どのような商店街だったか想像するのも難しいほどですが、わずかに当時の面影が残っています。
バスも走っていた「岩作」の旧道・商店街の中央エリアには、カフェや風呂屋、タクシー屋や農商銀行だけでなく「旅館」がありました。
遠い記憶をたぐり、また記憶すらない時代の歴史。その歴史がなくては現在の長久手はありません。整備はされても道路の在処はおよそ当時のままなので、タイムスリップした感覚で道に沿って歩いてみました。
岩作の旧道です。少し行って右に折れると長久手中学校。昭和30年代、かつてこの細い道をバスが走っていたのだから今から思えば驚きです。それだけ人の往来で活気がありお店も繁盛していました。
カフェ、風呂屋、床屋、薬局、タクシー屋、農商銀行となんでもあった岩作商店街
現在、長久手市には銭湯（風呂屋）はありませんが、かつては岩作の旧道沿い、弘法堂の４軒左隣にあったとのことです。地図の右端の㉛番です。

この界隈が、岩作だけでなく、昭和時代の長久手村随一の「繁華街」でした。弘法堂の手前には「常夜燈」がかつてありました。さらに30m程すすんだ右側に「山田屋」という＜旅館＞があって賑わっていたそうです。
弘法堂。御堂の中には、「右なごや、たかはり、左いわさき、ちりう」と方角が刻まれた道標仏があります。現在も地元で親しまれている弘法堂です。
この右側に、昭和30年代、わたし自身、小学校時代の帰り道や休日に、よく焼きそばを食べたり駄菓子を買った駄菓子屋の「はがさ」があった。
当時の雰囲気が少しばかり漂っています。右の建物は、私が少年時代の学校帰りにほんとによく通った駄菓子屋の「みどりや」さんがありました。建物当時のままなのではと思います。
かつて長久手には「旅館」があった！
長久手東部の里山エリアに古民家一棟貸切りの民泊施設「オリーブとぶどう」（2023年１月オープン）ができるまで、長久手には久しく宿泊施設がありませんでした。地元民もわざわざ長久手まで来て（古戦場公園などの歴史遺産を訪れたとしても）誰が泊まるんだという空気に長い間、包まれていましたが、愛・地球博記念公演にジブリパークがオープンしその空気が徐々に変わってきているように思います。
令和４年度第１回長久手市ホテル等建築審議会の議事録では、長きに渡る区画整理事業で長く快適に住んでもらうためのまちづくりを継続するためホテル建設規制を維持する事務局側と（かつてのラブホテル問題があった為）、時代の機運や情勢を市内観光につなげる必要も委員からの意見は平行線であったものの、都市公園法でモリコロパーク内のホテル建設は可能であったり、市内の市街化調整区域においても「観光資源に必要なもの」で市内の観光開発に沿った計画は、「今のところは」という但し書きで難しいとなっています。
ジブリパーク計画が発表されて以降、特に2017年度は４件の問い合わせがあったりそれ以降も問い合わせや打診は続いているだろうことは推測でき、「今のところは」はから２年たち、またジブリパークもフルオープンとなり、機運や情勢は大きく変化してきていると思われます。「観光通過」でなく、実質的な「観光交流」へと舵は切られている最中ではないかと予感します。
