森林のなかを走り抜けるマラソン〜モリコロパーク【長久手タイムズ】
「リビング × メーテレ マラソン大会 in モリコロパーク 2024年」が２月11日に開催された時の記録レポートです。「ながくて新春ふれあいジョギングフェスティバル」（１月21日）が雨天のため中止になったため、その翌月に開催されたモリコロパークでのマラソン大会の模様を幾らか記録したものです。コースは、モリコロパークに設けられている全長5.1kmの「サイクリングコース」です。10kmマラソンですと約２周走ることになります。マイナスイオンを全身に浴びながら走れるコースはほんと気持ち良さそうです！
マラソンコースは、モリコロパークにある森林の中をぬうように設計されたサイクリングコースを周回する特設コースになっています。「10kmコース」「20kmコース」「20km駅伝」がそれぞれ開催されました。
丘陵をぬって設けられたサイクリングコースということもあり、アップダウンも結構あり相当キツくなる場所もあります。この一帯は、一気に視界が開け、一直線のゆるい下り坂が続いているので最も調子良く走れる場所の一つのようです。
幅6m、一周5.1kmのコース脇には、全国47都道府県の樹木が植えられています。
北海道の木の「エゾマツ」、秋田県は「秋田スギ」、福島県の木の「ケヤキ」、神奈川県と大阪府は「イチョウ」、三重県からは「神宮スギ」、愛知県の木は「ハナノキ」。京都府は「北山スギ」、沖縄からは「リュウキュウマツ」などなど。すべて走っていてもサイクリングしている最中でも目視できるようにプレート看板が立っています。
そんなサイクリング・マラソンコースはここだけかもしれません。視覚的にもゴミゴミした街中を走行するよりも、マイナスイオンを浴び、森林浴をしながら走るコースは最高ですね。コースは四季折々の表情を見せてくれます。
左側の構造物は、愛・地球博の時の「グローバル・ループ」（関西大阪万博の大屋根のリングに相当）。当時の記憶を継承するために実際の「グローバル・ループ」の一部が今も残されその上を歩くことができるようになっています。
さあもう一踏ん張り。和太鼓の音は最初、どこかに設置されたスピーカーから流れてくるのかと思いきや、グローバル・ループの下に陣取った和太鼓応援団の実際の熱い音でした。和太鼓の音は園内まで響いていました。
愛知万博時の「グローバル・ループ」。全長2.6キロの空中回廊で当時は大勢の訪問客がこのループを歩いてお目当てのパビリオンへと巡って行きました。バリアフリー回廊です。マラソンコースの一番南端では、この「グローバル・ループ」の下を一度だけ通過しています。
前方にモリコロパークの大観覧車が見える。ここからは800mか1 km程先だろうか。
