「古戦場公園 ガイダンス施設」OPENまで１年半！ 工事の現在【Nagakute Times】
「古戦場公園 ガイダンス施設」建設工事の現在についてレポートします。「古戦場公園 ガイダンス施設」のオープンは、令和８年３月末。「長久手合戦」があった4月9日（天正12年 1584年）に近い日曜日に開催される「長久手古戦場祭り」に合うように綿密に建設スケジュールが組まれていることでしょう。あと１年半でオープンですね。
現在、「掘削工事」を夏に終え、次のステージの「鉄筋工事」などの基礎工事へと順調に進んでいるようです。
国指定史跡の御旗山や色金山、そして勝入塚に武蔵塚。長久手の城跡からは長久手城跡と大草城跡。
これまで長久手古戦場MAPなどには、ほとんどピックアップされることのなかった長久手東部・上郷にある「大草城跡」も今回しっかり取り上げられています。本能寺の変（1582年）の３年前に、徳川勢との有事を想定し、織田信長が森長可に長久手東部を差配させるにあたって、大草城を大改築させていました。
長久手合戦（1584年）の直後、秀吉方の大将・池田勝入と森長可配下の敗残兵約1,000人が立て篭もって家康勢に対峙した長久手最大の山城です（現在も城跡の土地の形状を見ることができる長久手唯一の城跡になっています。縦横それぞれ250m程ある大きな山城跡です）。
結局、家康は大草城を攻め落とすことができなかったことから「尾張史」以外の史料から消された城として近年耳目を集めています。
