長久手の最深部にある「三ヶ峯ニュータウン」の現在地！【長久手タイムズ】
長久手市の最も東の端、豊田市との市境、そのすぐ手前にあるのが「三ヶ峯ニュータウン」である。長久手市の一番東端にもかかわらずこの地区は、上郷ではなく岩作地区になっている。あらためて岩作地区は、ここで直接「三河」と接しているのだ。
21世紀に入ってリニモの公園西駅の東方の丘陵地に、大規模宅地開発としてコモンヒルズとクリザンテームヒルズが誕生したが、この最東部一帯の宅地開発のルーツは三ヶ峯地区にあり、かつては「長久手ニュータウン」という名称が付いていた。
長久手西部の大規模開発が進むにつれ、いつの間にか「三ヶ峯ニュータウン」の名称になったようだ。
現在三ヶ峯エリアはどうなっているのか、かなり久しぶりに訪れたがその変貌ぶりには結構驚かされた。
三ヶ峯ニュータウンは、広大なモリコロパークの東端が尽きたさらに東南端にあるニュータウンである。区画整理が入った長久手のニュータウンのはしりであった。
この少し上流が香流川の源流にあたっている。
三ヶ峯は勾配が急な丘陵地につくられたニュータウンなため、クルマが運転できなくなった（あるいは運転しない）高齢者にとってN-バスは必須の足に。長久手ニュータウンの頃、30代で住み始めた方は、40数年たって現在70代から80歳前後になっている。
昭和の頃の名称は「長久手ニュータウン」だった
1980年前後、三ヶ峯地区が長久手のニュータウンのはしりでした。現在までつづく区割りがなされ区割りで通された道沿いに家屋が建っているのが分かります。

「長久手町全図」には、一軒一軒が四角い形に家屋が描かれています。1981年（昭和56年）当時の家屋数は、37戸だったということが分かります。
下の地図は、同じく「長久手町全図 昭和56年」からですが、杁ヶ池や久保山、現在の図書館通り一帯はまだ家が数える程しかなかった頃です。
三ヶ峯が長久手の中でもいち早くニュータウン化がすすんでいたことが分かります。

最もシンプルな複合遊具があるだけの広場。
1960年代、長久手で唯一の小学校・長久手小学校に自転車通学できるのはこの三ヶ峯地区の子供だけだった。長久手小学校から最も遠く5kmはあった。かつては町の中央部にある小学校まで２キロ位歩いて通学するのはふつうだったが、５キロもある三ヶ峯となると特別で最果ての地からやってくるような感じがあった。
「長久手ニュータウン」と呼ばれていた頃の建物は現在は少ないようだ。おそらくここ20年、10年前に建てられただろう建物も数多くあった。こうした建物の写真からはもはやここがかつての三ヶ峯なのかとちょっとびっくりする変貌ぶりである。
県道田籾名古屋線へとつながる昔からある長い坂道。向lこう側はモリコロパークの東果てがつきた丘陵。
岩作にあるさつき幼稚園のスクールバスがここまで来ていた。おそらく三ヶ峯ニュータウンの幼児の多くは距離的に一番近い上郷保育園に通うのだろうが、お宅によっては幼稚園にという方もいるだろう。
三ヶ峯は同じ岩作地区でもありスクールバスがあるさつき幼稚園を利用される方も以前から多くいたのだろう。
三ヶ峯ニュータウン向いを流れる香流川。護岸工事がなされ少し下流の砂防公園へと至る。源流はもう少し東側にある。
